Welcome to QatarLiving Billiards Fans Group. This group is obviously for those that love this sport and play it with a passion, but its also for those that enjoy watching the game or have thought of learning how to play it. In this group we will have tournaments, weekly meet ups, discussions, tips and learning lessons. Once we have enough members i will form teams to compete between ourselves. If we have really good players I'll organize tournaments with other clubs outside QL where we'll compete for bigger prizes and trophies. I hope to get full co-operation from all the members and ask that you all be active in participation. Membership to this group is open to all willing to learn or play. Thank You All :) SMOKE

8Ball Tournament on 10th of May.
Elimination matches on Thursday 7:00pm onwards.
Semi-Finals and Finals on Friday: 6:00pm onwards.
Entry Fees is Qr.60/-
Register on or before the 8th of May to save a spot in the tournament.

Ok lets have a 8 ball tournament this friday 7.00pm onwards at Hotshots. All members are welcome to join. When u reach hotshots give me a call on 55207181.
9 ball Challenge Match - Smoke vs Captain_Lost (Friday after coffee meetup)
Finally, Me and smoke played our challenge match last friday (Coffee meetup) at Hotshots (Race to 7) .. Basically the Challlenge was.. Whoever loses the game will post a thread about it.. yeah, you guessed it right.. I lost :D
I wouldn't call it a good game since I even failed to give Smoke a good match and he won by a huge margin, that is ( 7 - 1).
So, Congratulations Smoke and yes you are better player than I am.
Meet up for Chai/hot Coffee anyone?

Why is there no activity from the members?
I'm getting really sick and tired of the lack of enthusiasm shown by the members in this group. barely a handful show up for the meet ups, no one posts anything related to billiards, so what exactly are you in the group for?
Starting today if i dont see any activity from the members i'm going to starting deleting your membership in the group.
On that note dont tell me its upto ME to organize meet ups, I expect the group members to do the same, post on the forum that you want to meet for a game and we will respond to you.
If you are too busy with life and can't make it to any group meetings then GET OUT of the group.

Six Days to go for the Big Announcement.
I have been working hard on something for the group day in and out over the past four months. Finally I'm six days away from making the big announcement. What it is you will just have to wait and see.
QL Billiards members will receive an email about the announcement. If you have not joined our FB Group page do so, its 'Qatar Billiards'

2nd Nine Ball Competition
Alright we are back again for the 2nd time with another 9 ball competition. This time we have upped the prizes. First prize is Qr. 500/- and Second Prize is Qr. 200/-

Time: 4.30pm onwards
Venue: HotShot - Airport Road.
Entry fee: Qr.60/-
Now let me make myself very clear on one thing. This time i'm going to be strict about those that wish to take part in the competition. I know you guys might have other things to do but then again rules are rules and we need to abide by them.
1. If you want to be part of the competition you have two separate days in which you can pay the fees and register your names so there's no excuses.
9 ball billiards tournament - open to all
9 ball tournament Next Friday 7th of October. The tournament is open to members and their friends. The prize will be Qr. 500/- for the winner.
Entry Fees to be paid on Thursday 29/9/2011 to be eligible to participate. No late comers will be entertained after this date.
Venue and Date: 7th October 2011 Hotshots, Airport Road
Time: 4.30pm onwards
Entry fees: Qr. 60/-
I will be at hotshots on Thursday 29/9/2011 between 9.00pm to 12.00pm to collect the entry fees and put down your names in the matches.
Also there will be 2 tables available after the match for 2 hours FREE, if any of the participants or their friends would like to play.

Update on the Group
Dear members please note the following changes in the group.
1. Membership request to join the group is now open to all that wish to join. There will be no approval request sent to the admin/manager of the group. So go ahead and invite your friends or if you have not signed up yet do so.
2. Dont wait for the manager to organize meet ups. You are part of the group and have full power to get in touch with any of the members in the group if you are looking for a billiard partner to have a few games.

Ramadan Tournament at Qatar Billiards & Snooker Federation
There is a 9 ball and snooker tournament happening during the month of Ramadan. I cant remember the exact dates but you will have to go and signup at the Federation. Entry is Qr. 50 per person and the winner walks away with Qr. 10,000/- First prize, 5000 second and 2500 third prize.
Tournament is open to public.
Meet up on Friday - 22-07-11
