Though the group name say the word "Filipino", this does not mean that only the ones from the Philippines could join this group. Anybody who is Filipino and loves the Filipino is welcome. This comradeship in QL will pave way to more opportunities of meeting and knowing more people in the group, within the site and outside of it.

 

Feel free to start forum topics wherein we could talk in Tag-Lish (Tagalog-English) about everything and anything under Qatar's sun but without making other QL members uncomfortable with us talking in our mother tongue. We encourage members to write more relevant topics in English so that others who do not speak our mother tongue can also contribute useful information to topics of importance. This way we could COMPLEMENT the objectives of the website owner/s.

In the Philippines, Flores de Mayo – held nationwide during the Month of May. Literally meaning the “flower of May”, the town “fiesta” or feast is a Philippine tradition for centuries to commemorate the search for the Holy Cross by Reyna Elena and son, the Emperor Constantine.

In this particular episode - I would like to take you back on how “fiesta” is being celebrated during my childhood days and give insight about the evolution of our town including those of modern town “fiesta” celebrations nowadays.

kumusta kayo. magtatanong lang po ako tungkol sa paghahanap ng trabaho sa UAE. isa po akong secretary 4 years na sa isang construction company, since patapos n po ang aming project kelangan na po nmin mag exit.. at sa UAE ko po balak mag exit at mag hanap ng work.
baka po may makakatulong s akin, na may kakakilala n hiring company doon.or any jobsite para po makapag pasa ako ng resume.

Family Visit Visa change to Working Visa

Mga Kabayan mgandang araw po sa inyong lahat.
Nais ko sanang magtanong kung ano na ang mga requirements para pagpapalit ng visa from family visit to working. Dati po kasi ang alam ko ay madali lang as long as makakahanap na ng company sponsor ang isang individual..
Lately lang po kasi lumabas ang yung immigration law tungkol sa requirement for medical sa pinas bago makapasok dito and then another medical examination and then to work..
Nangangamba po kasi ako dun sa kaibigan ko na napunta dito with visit visa tapos nag apply ng work. Baka kasi hanapan sya ng medical result galing pinas pag itransfer na ang visa nya to working.. although, nakapagpamedical na sya sa qatar med commission for the extension of her visit visa..
Hinihiling ko po ang inyong mga feedback..

1. Maberdeng mga gulay –

Ang gulay tulad ng repolyo, pechay, kangkong, spinach at iba pang mga talbos ay napakahalaga sa katawan. Sagana ito sa vitamins, minerals at iba pang healthy na kemikal. Kapag mahilig ka sa gulay, tingin ko ay puwede ka nang hindi mag-vitamins. Tipid pa! Ang gulay ay maganda rin sa maraming sakit tulad ng sakit sa puso, diabetes, sakit sa tiyan, pag-iwas sa colon cancer at iba pang kanser.

What Pinoy workers can do if they get sick abroad

If an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) gets sick abroad, no need to worry, especially if he or she is a member of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth), the state insurance company.

According to the Philhealth website, the amount spent for confinement or surgical operations abroad may be reimbursed by Philhealth members or their authorized representatives (i.e. a family member) in the Philippines.

The Philhealth member or representative must submit these documents in claiming the reimbursement:

- PhilHealth Claim Form 1 accomplished and signed by the member or his authorized representatives

- Photocopy of MDR (Member Data Record) or latest receipt

- Medical certificate with complete diagnosis, period of confinement and services rendered; and
