Hi, I'm new to Qatar and have come out here on my own so was wondering if there are any evening events or drinks which people go to where we could meet some like minded people?

Hi folks, how about a meet up in March? Sundowners somewhere in the evening on a Thursday? Any suggestions / ideas on where?

The weather is getting better now, so i thought should start our loong drives to far beaches.
I wont name the beach right now because most of you have been there before and i already discussed with few members about it and am avoiding the bloody uninvited QL guests and stalkers.
Trip will be on 12th Nov you all have to be at the meeting point sharp 9:30am. The drive is long so have to reach early to get a good spot. I know some of you will worry about Friday Prayers, you dont need to the mosque is just close there for Friday Prayers. I will send you meeting point and beach location through email. Now get your swimming suits and crab spears to catch crabs.

Safety body Eurocontrol said up to 4,000 flights across northern Europe would be cancelled on Thursday.

The air traffic control service (Nats) said no flights would be allowed in or out of UK airspace until 1800BST amid fears of engine damage.

The airspace restriction was the most significant in living memory, a spokesman said.

Nats suggested that the restrictions were unlikely to be lifted after 1800, saying it was "very unlikely that the situation over England will improve in the foreseeable future".
