I agree with hoteliers, We usually go for the Fridays lunch buffet. So much of excellent choice for us vegetarians unlike the other buffets in town which are mainly for non-vegetarians. Love the food and the staff are friendly.

Its a very nice and cosy vegetarian restaurant. More trendy than its competitors such as the Garden, Aryas, etc,.
The food is tasty with excellent seasonal variety. Their daily & Friday lunch buffet is excellent value for money. Also the service staffs is great.
There is plenty of parking space.

This has got to be the most horrible restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food was crap and so was the service. I started with the dosa which was cold, not done well, and the filling was not even hot. So, I decided to try the Chaat. Again, the chaat was horrible and the sweet chutney tasted like it had sugar mixed into it to make it sweet. I complained to the waiter that it was too sweet, so the waiter took it to the kitchen, put lumps of spicy chutney and brought back the same plate. Not to mention, the waitress thought that we did not understand marathi and started to bad mouth us. That probably did it for me and we had to walk out vowing never to return.

If you want bad tasting food, bad service and an all round bad atmosphere, visit Sukh Sagar!

Food is ok but the pricing is not reasonable. Recently when I visited the restaurant even the Quantity has come down to almost half and price remaining the same.

It's high time these greedy owners know what they are doing. They may be clever, but don't think others are fools.

After all, don't forget that customers are kings.

Thank you

SukhSagar is a very refreshing VEG restraunt in Doha.

It comes with a pedigree in quality and it is an international brand.

Chinese, Moghlai, Bombay Drinks, Chats, Sweets on top of the usual Dosa is all under one Roof.

My Wife and Kids enjoy it, we make several trip there and try out something different each time. Check out the Masala Pav I shot, not only it looks Good but taste good too.

Recommend to call in to reserve a table as it does get crowded later in the evening

Sukh Sagar... ah... its taken my sukh away... afternoon buffets.. sweets are the ones which generally are not sold from their sweets section.. Irony is 20 Qrs for a buffet whereas 5 Qrs for water..accepted...buffet dishes are generally common..if accidently u go on alternate days... u will find the same dishes...I suppose everyone out here understand from what is "fried Idlis" or "shezwan idlis are made up of" which is served as a part of the buffet... the leftover food made to good use...

First of all they do not top up the buffet items on time specially of the ones they think are expensive and the ones people will prefer. Next, after being in Qatar for more than 5 years this was the first restaurant to charge a 2 year old for a buffet. The food is average and priced OK but they will make up for this pricing by charging adult rates for kids and kids rate for babies, so beware of these scrupulous cheats. Also the space is so cramped that you need to fight for your place in the queue at the buffet. The Supervisor has his own explanation to justify their inefficiency.

My advice will be that, if you are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon or evening, please avoid this restaurant.

Ambience good, but long waiting periods during rush.
Increase more space to accomodate more customers and business too.
Sweets are also best.
Only thing - toilets are home theatres, pl. keep the sound where it is needed.

We went there with my friends and family twice and we had the worst experience with service. We spoiled our two week ends here and will never ever go near this place.

It seems customer service not in their agenda. Waitress treat us like we are there to get some free food. To be honest there chat and food was good but the service my God .. you will never dare to go there again.

Thanks for the gps code.
But the experience was extremely disappointing. To be fair, we did reach there just as the lunch buffet was ending, so that could have been the reason for the bad service and low quality food.

First of all the ambience is nothing like photograph suggests.(yes i saw that ad in the newspaper and website...kudos to the photographer!!)Its actually quite tiny and not at all classy. I admit that im prejudiced by my experience with 'sagar' restaurants in B'lore, which is what i was expecting. If that is what you looking forward to, avoid this place!

The Masala Dosas arrived barely warm with the rubbery texture of having been precooked and heated through. The masala was cold! So was the chutney. The onion chutney tasted almost entirely of garlic. And the sambar again seemed refrigerated and warmed through(not heated)

The Mango Lassi was good.
The buffet was finishing as we reached, all the other customers seemed to have opted for this. Since we didnt try it, i will not comment.

Luckily for us the chat chef arrived shortly so they were able to offer us pav bhaji (nothing else) It was a saving grace in that it atleast arrived piping hot. To be fair it was pretty good.(at least in comparison)

We bought a sampler of the sweets on display; besan ladoo, anjeer halwa, kaju katli; and ended up throwing the whole thing out. They were not fresh at all.

Since we arived there around 3pm there was limited staff. They were polite but it was odd that we had to descibe what pav bhaji was. The service wasnt very efficient.(Maybe bcos there really wasnt much to serve!)

On the whole we went looking for a elegant vegetarian experience reminiscent of Indian Sukh Sagar and vowed never to return.Do not go there if expecting the look and feel of Sukh Sagar in India or Dubai.

I would suggest that if they cant handle customers at odd times then close down for the afternoon like most places in doha. To claim to be open from 6am to midnight and not providing good service they might be losing more customers than they realise. Doha is not that large and word does get around. Also a bad experience means you dont get a second chance.

We went on a thursday afternoon. So they shouldve have been expecting a weekend crowd since lots of people do get the afternoon off on thursdays.
